Graphical Oddities in The Witcher and ArmA2

Ok - so I got a new computer a few days ago and I went from a rig that was mid/low end to fairly high end...

My problem is this:

1. The Witcher - I can now run the game on max settings with no lag but the graphics appear...out of focus almost...gritty...with horizontal lines vaguely appearing during close ups and cutscenes.

2. ArmA2 - sort of the same thing really but the graphics are set to Normal/High and I'm getting that same gritty and out of focus/too much bloom effect almost result.

Any ideas on what's causing this and how to fix it?

Is it your monitor?
The first problem is something I had when I used to have an LCD but now I use a CRT (brick monitor) I never have any problems.

what resolution are you playing Arma on?

and both arma 1 and arma 2 have too much bloom effect, but luckily the modding community has come up with a mod that disables bloom and motion blur for arma 2. now i dont have arma 2 so i cant personally vouch for this mod, but it has over 26 thousand downloads so it must be doing something right

anyways try this mod and see if you still have problems with arma
