    Default Proposal, adding TATW to M2TW.

    Is it possible to add the factions, maps and units from TATW into the M2TW game?

    This is a rather far fetched but interesting idea that throws lore aside! but oh well.

    I propose replacing the America's with Middle earth. And then crossing some of the factions. Rohan and Gondor have a town in France, France has a town on the middle earth coast. etc etc. To represent the trading and exploration by both worlds.

    European factions may need to be given some mythical units to make things more balanced. But seeing as Elves, Rohan, and Gonder don't have trolls and things I see no reason why it would be a problem for England, France, HRE etc. I think the gunpowder event would have to be removed. And a merging of a few factions to make room for the Middle Earth ones. Such as Veince and Milan into "Northern Italian Indepentent States" or something along those lines. I gather this would be no means be an easy task.

    Is this possible, and would anyone be interested in taking this idea on as a sub mod?

    No, sorry, not enough faction slots I think...

    Oh, you already thought of that, well, there's 30 faction slots, start counting...

    no, tatw already has 6 religions, and i added one for TWC, and still didn't reach the limit

    You can have up to 9 religons from what i know. It has been tested.

    EDIT: Ive never liked these kindof mods, it feels like the mod is unfinished

    I thought as much, would be a hard job. I personally would remove some of the eastern factions and provinces to make room and focus solely on Europe and Middle Earth.

    The actual pope or Sauron?

    Maybe merge Mordor, Rhun and Harad into one faction

    Dominion of the Sword have found a way to have 2 popes I think, as they have a pope and an anti pope.

    Well the key is to determine what factions should be in there.

    On the Middle Earth side, there could be Gondor, Rohan, Mordor, Easterlings (Incorporating Rhun and Harad - Never minding that Harad would be southeners), Dwarves, Elves and Isengard.

    On the M2TW side, there could be England, France, HRE, Spain, Russia, Italian States, Hungary, Denmark, Byzantine Empire, Moors, Turks and Egypt.

    That would only take 19 faction slots. This ignores the Papal States and Sauron. That would take it to 21.

    Dominion used scripts to do a lot of what they did, its not possible for a beginner modder. its quite advanced stuff that I'm looking at right now and frankly scares me.

    Other then that... go for it. this would be fun! I'd play it!!

    Oh and the religion limit is 10

    Culture limit is 6, to add on to that. I used to work with Religion and Culture a lot.

    I don't think you can have France and Isengard, as Isengard is France, same goes for Sicily- Gondor, England- Mordor etc.

    merge:

    milan + venice (as suggested)
    england + scotland

    scrap:

    mongols
    timurids
    denmark

    = 5 slots opened up

    then merge:

    gondor + rohan
    HE+SE
    all evil factions or have mordor as one faction and then mordor's allies (obv diff name in reality) as another faction
    dark lord as another faction

    and for culture either just one size fits all --> middle earth (ME) culture
    or if possible two --> ME good and ME evil?




    would this work?

    faction limit 31
    edit: vannila has 22, but that includes normans and saxons. you scrap normans,saxons,timurids,mongols and you have 18 - you can even keep the aztecs!
    tatw has 12
    18+12 = 30. no more faction merging needed

    7 culture slots -> middle earth men, elves, dwarves, orcs, evil men, european men, islamic men
    10 religion slots -> all religions - catholic,orthodox,islam,followers of melkor, dunedain, northmen,elves, dwarves

    region limit 199, here you will have to scrap/merge some regions
    vannila has 111(including americas), tatw has 114
    111 + 114 = 225, you'll have to scrap 26
