EXRM 3.4 Siege?
I just installed 3.4 and I am not sure if a seige I am experiancing is WAD? Its 266BC and I am playing Illyria. I have been taking cities along the Adriatic Coast and into Greece. Recently I took Phillipi from the Macedonians. My spy opened the gates. Now in 266BC, when the SE besiege Phillipi from me, they attack the same turn that they besiege. They dont wait 2 turns to build siege eqipment like in previous versions I have played. It is 266BC already and this is the first time I am besieged in EXRM 3.4. Is this normal? Do the enemy attack cities the same turn they besige in this mod? Thanks

Or had you repaired the walls yet after your siege?

Re: EXRM 3.4 Siege?
The stone walls of Phillipi were repaired and the enemy didnt use a spy to open the gates. They attacked me with a battering ram and a ladder in normal seige fashion, the gates were shut, but they attacked Phillipi the same turn that they besieged it. This is my first seige defense in a new install. Are this how AI seiges work in the latest download, or is it maybe a bug?
I want to continue my campaign, but I may have to rethink my campaign strategy. Has anybody experianced similar things, with the latest install, when defending against a siege? Thanks.

Re: EXRM 3.4 Siege?
Ok thanks. I was a bit worried that it was a new feature. Maybe the bug was caused by my spy opening the gates when I took the city. I will play some more and see if it happens again.

Re: EXRM 3.4 Siege?
Either they had a spy or the walls were broken. Its not an RTW bug that I've ever seen.

Re: EXRM 3.4 Siege?
For the record I had the same thing, when a Greek army attacked Apollonia which I held playing as Rome. The Greek army beseiged and then attacked with a battering ram in the same turn, and it most definitely wasn't either due to a spy or broken walls, as the battle ended after I managed to slow down the ram enough for the flaming arrows on the wall to set the ram on fire.
