Can't Recruit good Units!!

I can't recruit any units better than spear militia, peasant archers and light cavalry in any of the campaigns! I know this was asked before, but I can't find those forums, so please help me! I build the latest barracks, latest armory buildings and I get the unit card in the recruitment section, but it's greyed out saying 5-9 turns left. Please help! I have SS6.1 installed with every selected add-on and nothing else.

There are literally hundreds of threads on this. If you used the search function you would find many answers.

If you had checked the information links provided in the installer about the submods you installed, you would know that RealRecruitment and Byg's Grim Reality drastically change the recruitment process. Check their threads in the submods forum for details. And you also need to install a patch at the bottom of the first post in the Byg's Grim Reality submod.
