Icon4 E:TW modding and tools?

Hello everyone
not been on here in along time now with empire out and on its third patch i were wondering what do we know about modding with the new db system?

1) can we edit the map resources add the new towns and mines?
2) can we even edit the campaign map even include new theathers?
3) can we create a new faction?
4) are there any campaign map mod tools (not the Lordz) ready for use for empires? I heard knightErrant and J@mes were creating some (campaign mapping) can anyone comfirm this or know were i can find them?
5) what about CA tools? i remember reading Jack Lusted blog while back saying they would support the modder with the tools needed, has i need these to mod (not a very good modder )

Thank you all
Ian.

+rep for answers.

1) no
2) no
3) yes but i have no experience to do that
4) Lordz Tools use the source codes from the demo, theres the PFM from LTchambers, some esf editors, and thats for that. Luac files could be opened up but not recompiled, so they're worthless. The DLC is coded and couldn't not be used for modding at the moment. All available Tools are shown in the tools section. But only the PFM is a good tool in the moment in my opinion
5)Yes he did and now no one of these quys is talking to us...talking about the modability of ETW was a big scam, most files are hardcoded and so not accessible, there are and will be no tools from CA, as long the folks are paying for the DLC, why should they do that, Mods are for free, so if you could get money for additional units why give ressources to modders that provide units and maps for free.

At least it is all about money, lies and mistreat, like a Shakespeare play. And SEGA and CA will only stop it, when the gamers would stop to play their game of costy DLCs

then they might give up compelety if no one downloads the DLC and shut down the servers for multiplayer basicly killing ETW as a game. also the fact that there wasn't as many people who boguht the game as execpted the saught to punish us and not release the tools and have us play for cruely tempting DLC i sir object to this maddness.

i do belive tho that it might be possible to add towns or resources but it's mostly a manuel job.

If the 1500+ people here don't download the DLC, SEGA and CA won't miss all that much money.

be sure, too many had already paid for that. Fact is that most gamers doesn't give a c..p on our concerns and are willing to buy DLC, and continuing blaming the modders for their problems with the gameplay. In german forums, i.e. the darthmod was blamed for suspicious behaviour of the AI, well if that continous we'll be blamed for anything that went wrong with the main game. But a mod could only be as stable as the main program is.

People always like to complain about something, even if they know nothing about it.
We should all send PMs and visitor messages to the CA members of TWC about of requests.
The only member I know about right now is JeromeGrasdyke.

PM's and Massages will not help in anyway. CA just ignors all requests about Tools, Converter and Map-editor may they come as PM or in open forum.

The only way to get answers is to show them what will happen without mods. This would mean to take down allreleased mods and not publish new ones or updates, till CA talks to us about it and promise to make the tools. Not nessesary immediately, but explains what tools we can get and when.

You need to ask so CA can't say you didn't ask.

I really hope the DLC is not going to put a cap on modding new regions, anyway any more news on user created tools?
