Hi all,
Just downloaded this great looking mod to try it out.
When I started a campaign, I got a message stating along the lines that Autobattles were frowned upon.
Does that mean If I try to Autobattle, I'll lose every time?
Thanks.

no it is just viewed as "cheating" in a way as your just being lazy, the game is ment to be played on the battlefield, as you can't see all the great units on the campain map
for small battles it doesn't matter thou
BTw if you are a good faction and auto resolve you do tend to lose every time thou
BTW next time just pm JAL or another mod and they will answer your question![]()
no, just that fighting the battle by yourself will be more fair to the AI
edit:second
This is not a scam, trust me!
Depends on how much you trust me I guess
Oh Yeh, Heres the first Helms Deep video I made! -never got around to making an updated one-> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kdcfj5MT0lA
hence why i said it is condiderd "cheating" in away as the ai in general has abetter chance when doning battle on the battle map
I wrote that as the same time as you![]()

Takes away the whole strategy point of the battles as well....
Because Snaga skirmisher spam on auto-resolve=instawin.
Autoresolve = Evil side wins unless totally outnumbered.
Never auto_resolve...... unless you have to fight a 3unit army... which is not worth it.... otherwise never! Sauron will curse you!
It's to do with Orc-based factions having such large unit sizes. The auto resolve does the maths and declares them the winner, even if in real battle you would wipe the floor with them with your superior skill, weapons, tactics, archers, etc.
As far as I understand it: it's a shortcoming of the hard-coded auto resolve engine and the modders can't change it. So that warning is basically saying "it won't be a fair outcome if you use it". It's kind of cheating if you use it as Mordor etc. If you're fighting Mordor etc. then it's not cheating; it's suicide.
Is this the reason why factions like Rohan get so easily destroyed when played by the AI? Are AI vs AI battles resolved by the same engine as autoresolve?
The AI is like a retarded overwieght child. He realy want all those fries, he just does not know how to get them. http://img1.coolspacetricks.com/imag...unny/81776.gif
Well it was even wore before 1.1 patch
Yes, I think so too. Not sure though. It makes sense, otherwise the game would need to have two battle outcome calculators; one for when it's your army involved and one for when it's just AI.
So how come in standard M2TW spamming peasant armies didn't work? Their unit sizes were similarly absurd!
Damn it, I played TW for the campaign map not for the battles! Looks like I'll just have to deal with it to play.
