[PASSED 06/30/09] [Artifex] Subrosa Florens (Patron: Xavier Dragnesi)

Hi all, I would like to petition to be awarded the rank of Artifex. I understand that that I should present a summary of the things I have done at TWC, so here goes:

I have been modding RTW for several years, the culmination of which is my conversion mod Amazon: Total War. ATW is a partial conversion that adds a new culture, 4 new factions (probably soon to be 5), and many new units, ancillaries, traits, etc... to the game. I have also completed an AAR of a full campaign within ATW here on the TWC forums.

In addition I have released Thrace: The Serpent Reborn, which is a small mod for vanilla RTW whose goal is simply to make Thrace a fun faction to play. It features new units, temples, ancillaries, and the like.

Aside from those things, I do try to assist others with modding questions when I can (and when someone else does not beat me to the answer). This I see as simply may way of paying forward the assistance that many other modders have given me when I have had difficulty. Likewise I have donated original material from ATW to other modders whenever asked for the same reason.

Hey guys,

This is my first attempt at putting a member forward for the citizenship, and I think my client is most worthy. Subrosa Florens is the creator of the one most interesting and novel models around the place - Amazon: Total War - featuring women in battle in all their glory. Amazon: Total War has been created almost singlehandedly by her, and her work has been admired and commended by many, and has caught the interest and fascination of many more. Her constant revision of the mod, and her use of players' views and criticisms to do so, has resulted in it becoming a growing favourite.

In addition, she is most polite and enthusiastic, and endeavours to help other out with modding issues and questions where possible. I find her contributions to TWC very considerable, certainly worthy of the rank of Artifex, and I hope you will do so too.

Wow, it would seem Artifex is well deserved in this case. Very impressive application one of the best since my time here.

I cannot say that I would be a fan of this mod, but the work is impressive. The applicant seems to be strickly focused on one mod. This is OK. The applicant seems to enjoy the work and I would hope for more in the future.

I will be voting yes on this application.

Obviously I will be abstaining in this, but just to point out that though it is only one mod, she made it herself, basically completely.

I have actually considered patronizing her myself.

Either way, she has certainly put a lot of effort into her mod, essentially creating it all by herself. Furthermore, she helps other modders in the RTW workshop regularly and her attitude is a positive one. I'll be voting yes.

a she-modder? heavens above, we can't have any more female citizens, its against the natural order of the forums! if get enough of them, they'll have the votes to start demanding that we recarpet the curia and make medieval tapestry a content publication!
