Default French Army in the Early Era

    Hello Guys,

I'm playing SS 6.1 with the French with Timescale 0.5 (2Turns a year) and it's now the 1104 AD. The French Campaign is my first, after a reinstallation. No Submods.
I conquered Caen and Toulose, both are castles and i started building the army buildings. (like those stables and baracks where you can recruit "Mailed Knight's" and "Sergeant Spermen") My problem is, that i cannot recruit the described units; The money doesn't matter, I've got enough, the population shouldn't either ( Caen 3750, Toulouse 3800) Nice feature of medieval is, that i can see, when I'm able to recruit the next unit of a type and every turn i read a "5", when I move my mouse over the sergeant spearman button, and a "9", when i move the mosue over the mailed Knights button... the number doesn't change.
Now it's the time, where i could need these units, because its no fun, to crush the armies of mailed knights and sergeants spearmen with Merchant cavalry and Militia... So, can anyone tell me, if that's normal, or do i need for example 6000 people in the castle or sth. else? The funny thing is, before reinstallation, i played with the scots and there everything worked... (before anyone's asking: I reinstalled because of building a new pc. And I've still got the savegame of the scots and it works there...
So any help? I colud need one And excuse my english, I'm german.

When you say no submods, did you tick the Real Recruitment / Real Combat when you installed? If so I believe there was a fix released for this. You could alternatively install the latest version of RR/RC from the sub mod section.

I ticked everything of the things you could tick, when you're installing 6.1 . If I'm right, there were 3 or 4 things? Blood, Remaining Arrows and RR/RC?
Do you mean the Sub Mod who's got size of 769 MB?

I think you need the fix from the BYG mod:

    Data.zip: Important Note
If you installed BGRIII using the Stainless Steel 6.1 installer you NEED this fix. It is at the bottom of this post, called "data.zip".
Simply unzip it and place the resulting data folder here:C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\ , then start a new campaign.
