    Default Monty Python: total war

Just out of curiosity, has any attempted to add a faction to medieval 2 total war based on monty python and the holy grail? I'd like to see it as a joke mod, but unfortunately, I would be incapable of doing any major modding, since I have no modding skill. Basically, The faction would use a few units already in the game with new names (dismounted knights of Camelot instead plain dismounted knights, etc.), while others, such as the knights who say ni would get special models, and would attack at range using a taunt animation that launches a 2d NI! as a projectile(if possible, see above for info on my modding experience). Trebuchets would fire cows all the time, and they would do the same damage as trebuchet stones. The family members of the faction would include all the main characters from the movie, with Arthur as the leader. Special models for them would, of course, be nice. However, none of these ideas are worth anything unless anyone wants to help me. So anyway, if anyone else thinks this would be cool, just pm me, and I'll think up a complete unit roster and the like.

I thought since three total war games have invasion expansions, this would make an excellent invasion expansion. I myself have no modding experience, so I would not be able to create any of this myself. I would need help from willing modders. I already have a unit roster planned. I am not experienced in mod creation, but I believe it should be fairly simple to add the faction in. Perhaps in later releases there could be special events, but at this point, this seems fine.

Here is the symbol I made for the Python faction. If anyone else wants to submit one, that is fine, It may be used. My plan is that the python faction will require you to "build" Python movies and seasons. Each one grants access to a different group of units. Each building also spreads silliness to a different degree. The Python faction has silly culture, which it must spread to recruit its most important units. Aside from these buildings, there are no changes to the buildings the pythons can build, at least not in the first release. Either way, here is my plan for the factions building and unit tree:

Monty Python And the Holy Grail pt1. required for:
    General's Bodyguard
    Knights of Camelot 20% culture
Dismounted Knights of Camelot 10% culture
Singing Knights of Camelot 30% culture
    The Black Knight 65% culture
    Cow Trebuchet 30% culture

Monty Python AtHG pt2. required for:
    Holy Hand Grenadiers 80% culture
    The Killer Rabbit 75% culture
The Knights who Say Ni! 55% culture

Monty Python AtHG pt3. required for:
    French Guards 80% culture

    Season 1 required for:
The Knight who smacks people over the head with a chicken 40% culture
    Gumby Squad 25% culture
    British Army Troops 40% culture
    Hell's Grannies 45% culture
The Bately Townswomen Institute 35% culture
    Upper Class Twits 45% culture

    Season 2 required for
    Spanish Inquisition 60% culture
    Spam Vikings 55% culture

    Season 3 is purely cultural

    Season 4 required for:
    Military Fairies 35% culture

    Life of Bryan required for:
    Suicide Squad 50% culture
    -----------------------------

I have also categorized units into tiers:
    (bodyguard)
    Generals Bodyguard*

    (low tier)
    Knights of Camelot (mounted wo/horses)*
    Dismounted Knights of Camelot*
Singing Knights of Camelot (inspire nearby troops)*
    Gumby Squad (strong melee)

    (2nd tier)
(possible)Upper Class Twits (too stupid to be afraid, they act as excellent combat troops due to their clumsiness.)
The Bateley Women's Institute (fierce demoralizing melee unit).
Knights who smack people with chickens (Chivalric Knights with color changes and a chicken "axe")*
British army troops (gunpowder, very silly)

    (upper tier)
    Spam Vikings (powerful shock troops)*
Spanish Inquisitors (ambush units, maybe an archer version)
Knights Who say Ni! (Long Range high damage Skirmish units)
Black Knights (strong melee, with pending zweihander tossing) (model by Taro_M) Check it out here.

    (Uber Units)
Holy Hand grenadiers (long range super powerful)*
The Killer Rabbit (altered war dog)
French Guards (scare nearby enemy infantry)*

    (siege)
Cow Trebuchet (throws cows that do same damage as rocks)*

units marked with a * mean they can be created using reskinned models from vanilla.
    --------------------------
The Python faction begins in England. It would get three settlements in Britain; two castles, the Castle of AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH! and Camelot; as well one city, the Flying Circus.

The Python navy will consist of "airships" (for the moment). They will have high attack values, and can be built from ports, the only naval military building the pythons faction will have. The Python factions begins with a large navy as well (one half stack).
    ----------------------------

    Python agents include:
Silly Vicars (Rev. Arthur Belling by G. Chapman). This is the priest unit.
    Merchant Bankers. Merchants.
One who knows how not to be seen. Spy.
    Piranha Thug. Assassin.
    ----------------------------

Finally, we have sigs for the people who want to support the mod (though they aren't particularly good):

    -------------------
Just so you know, we are currently recruiting for all positions except that of a description writer.

for new retinue the ministry of silly walks possibly?

have to have the holy hand grenade as a ret as well! and make the huge huge huge bombard as the hhg launcher lol!

try and get attack dogs but reskin as rabbits and the initial pope is called brian lol!

Here's a unit roster I think might be nice for python faction:

    Generals Bodyguard
    Knights of Camelot (mounted wo/horses)
    Dismounted Knights of Camelot
Singing Knights of Camelot (inspire nearby troops)
Knights who smack people with chickens (Chivalric Knights with color changes and a chicken "axe")
Spanish Inquisitors (ambush units, maybe an archer version)

French Guards (scare nearby enemy infantry)
Cow Trebuchet (throws cows that do same damage as rocks)
British army troops (gunpowder, very silly)
    Gumby Squad (strong melee)
(possible)Upper Class Twits (too stupid to be afraid, they act as excellent combat troops due to their clumsiness.)
The Bateley Women's Institute (fierce demoralizing melee unit).
Black Knights (strong melee, with pending zweihander tossing) (model by Taro_M Check it out here.
The rabbits idea mentioned above would be good if it could be implemented. They would be the python uber unit.

The starting settlement would a castle in Britain called Camelot. Hope we can get someone smart enough to help us soon.

not camelot, because they travel in the camelot. Maybe start the game when they reach camelot.

The tricky bit would be the banging hte coconut halves together animation. Doubly so since the coconut is not native to Mercia. Science has proven, though, that the coconut is non migratory, though it could have been brought by a swallow...or more correctly, two swallows holding it on astrand of creeper, held under the dorsal flight feathers. An African swallow could manage it unaided, but of course, the African swallow is non migratory.

Then of course, I'll need my largest scales to prove that you are in fact all witches, and should be burnt along with the rest of the ducks.

Can you have minus numbers for the morale of the Knights of Sir Robin?

Sir Robin ran away. He'll be a very bad general .

Could it be possible to have 2 skeletons in 1 unit and the first walks and the one after that claps with cocconuts? .

Rabbits as attack dogs, I have a low poly rabbit model..? . I'm gonna try that today.

    Suicide Squad ofcourse.

For those who support this mod and want to see it made, here are some sigs that can help advertise it. More will be added as they become available. P.S. Awesome bunnie model.

Bahahaha, I laughed so hard when I saw this thread title.

It would be kind of fun to play, though...
Protein cores made in the rough endoplasmic reticulum are posttranslationally modified by glycosyltransferases in the Golgi apparatus, where GAG disaccharides are added to protein cores to yield proteoglycans; the exception is hyaluronan, which is uniquely synthesized without a protein core and is "spun out" by enzymes at cell surfaces directly into the extracellular space.

We won't be able to introduce him at all unless we start gathering followers for the mod soon.

the holy hand grenadiers would be easy to do by remodelling naphtha throwers, maybe give a stronger value for the missile attack, but range about right.
The Duke of Dunwich and surrounding fiefdom

For any who are interested by my FF on occurrences in Rhun and beyond; I have begun a new project (not because the old one is finished, just opening more room for ideas) about one of the minor characters, Rankal. It is in the Third Age AAR index and here is the link http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=376994

New unit added. Black Knights. If Taro_M concedes to let us use it, then I will not hesitate to officially use the model. Other who have python models they wish to offer will also be given credit for their work. They will also receive rep.
