    The error is what it says it is. You have too many entries in the file descr_models_battle.txt. To fix it remove the extra entries as there is a max of 255 entries. I'd suggest looking up the hardcoded limits thread and familiarizing yourself with the known limits of the game.

    What you can do to free up entries in the DMB is to condense multiple entries that are using the same .cas files and skeletons. You can also remove most of the artillery crews and use Peasants for crews instead. Same with the dog handlers.

    The mercenary entries can also be removed and their texture lines put into the normal unit entries. However, to make sure their sprites show up correctly in the game put the merc texture line below all the other texture lines, and its sprite line first in the list of sprites. Do not use the name merc, in the sprite line, just leave it without any specific ownership. The game will not ctd if you do not, but you will not always see the correct sprites for the merc.
