Default Is the general death morale penalty still in M2TW/TATW?

Back in Shogun and I think Medieval 1 if you killed a general or captain in battle the army of the slain officer suffered a severe morale penalty for 1 whole turn. That gave you enough time to retreat, bring another army in, and slaughter the enemy survivors if you hadn't won the battle. I know that the army of the slain officer receives a morale penalty during the actual fight itself but does it carry over to the next turn like in Shogun? If so was it removed from TATW? I'm just curious as I wanted to know. If the morale penalty still carries over to the next turn.

I'm not sure, but if that feature isn't in the game, it'd be great to see it implemented

hmm no dont think so, at least i have never seen anything that should imply that the penalty lasts for one turn. Agree with blindblade though, it would be cool to see. That way assassinating captains would serve a purpose

Assassinating generals is still important, even without this feature. That way you can get ride of enemy generals that you wish not to face in battle, or maybe some other faction agents.

Yeah but i wasnt talking about enemy generals. The importance of assassinating them are obvious. But enemy captains. Lets say you have a couple of big armies lurking around one of your settlements. You know the attack is inevitable, so you assassinate their captains which will give them a moral penalty for one turn. You can then counter attack the next turn and hopefully rout most of their army, since they are still suffering from losing their great leader . As to now i havent seen any reason for risking my assassin on them.

And their bodyguard unit. That in itself can mean the difference in how a battle turns out.
