    Default Mod help again :{

    So, before I got all my mods working correctly and I thought I had everything down. However, I wanted to make sure I knew how to do everything correctly and tried it again...and from there...everything went downhill.

    I used the PFM to extract unit_stats_land_tables from the patch.pack file and changed great Britain's units to something that I could see the changes quickly so I did this:

    Unit size: 200
    Accuracy: 100
    Moral: 25

    And for some reason none of these changes are going into the game. I'm using the ModManager and my pack file appears on it and I activate it and it looks like everything is working fine, however nothing changes in the game. It was working fine before, so I'm a little confused now. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    Edit:

    Steps that I do:

    Open PFM
    Open Patch.pack
    Extract units_stats_land_tables to a folder called "Land Mod"
    Open new file in the PFM
    Change it to a mod
    Press Save as "Landmod"
    Insert and then I add the units_stats_land_tables
    Change stats to previously stated; crt S.
    Load mod manager; Make sure it's checked
    Go to play battle, check stats. Find that they're unchanged. Get disappointed.

    If there's a step I'm missing here, someone please tell me, or if there's something I'm doing wrong.

    Protip: Mod Manager is for mod users, not mod developers. It's so much easier to use the user script yourself. One thing you can do though, is to change the patch type to movie when testing, that way it's guarenteed to override everything (movie packs have the highest precedence).

    So you're saying I should stop using the mod manager?
    Thanks, I'll test this as soon as I can.

    You're still going to have issues when you turn the movie pack into a mod pack, but atleast you can work on it in the mean time and get your feet wet. When it comes to troubleshooting ETW mods it's all about eliminating the possiblities, so if you can get it to work as a movie pack, you're on your way.

    Have you the mod name in the script?

    Search for the The Creative Assembly folder and in the scripts folder you must create a file with your mod name.

    Only after this, you see changes in the game.

    start with a small change. Make at a texture a big red X and add it to a unit. Start the game and look for the change. So you know if your mod start or not.

    I just made a small change and made British line infantry 200men. It didn't appear in the game, but now that might be because of the new patch?

    Could well be because of the new patch I suppose. Have you tried setting your mod's pack type to movie?

    Change it to movie is not the way. It must work as mod.

    At the moment I have a new pc and have problems to run him, cause there are problems with bios.

    Pls post, whats in your script.

    Have you tried to use this as basic?

    In my user.empire_script it says
    mod "Mod.pack";
    It was created by the mod manager and the name of my mod pack file is called "Mod"

    Isn't that guide basically what I've been doing?

    Are you sure that no other packs are in the script.

    Positive. That's the only one and also happens to be the only mod I have.

    Have you tried changing the pack type to movie? If it works then, you know the problem is something to do with the load order, if it still doesn't work, it's something in the mod itself that's not working.

    Thanks joe! in the scripts folder i just wrote : land mod Because that is the name of my file all i want to do is just change the accuracy of the prussian line infantry to 70% and the reload rate to 40. Is there something written out to simply explain how to mod the unit stats land. I think i enjoyed rome TW so easy to mod not like this. Can ANYONE EXPLAIN to me how i can just change the accuracy of the line infantry i'm using pack file manager 1.11

    I found the scripting file like you told me before joe but didnt tell me how to write in the file so i opened it and on the last line i just typed: land mod

    The same as the mod i created with the PFM.Is this correct? what am i doing wrong? I dont think i'm asking too much to just try to change the accuracy of the infantry. There has to be an easy way to do this..........Is There?

    Use the PFM 1.11b, cause with 1.11 you can't open some files.

    Change the accuracy and loading time is one of the easiest things after you get your mod.pack.

    In the script:

    mod land mod.pack;

    Mod name:

    land mod

    You can download the script file from the link and simply replace the line with yours.
