    Icon9 Gladiator Uprisings

Playing as Rome I have was surprised by the 1st one, the second one was an even bigger shock. Both uprisings actually occurred about 5 years earlier but the dates shown were the point I managed to get my stack to them. Am I going to need to keep a standing army in Sicily for this?

I think you should keep an army ready in Sicily in cases like these but bear in mind that it might also happen right outside Rome's doors. Good thing Spartacus didn't show up

Nuts, have an army sitting around waiting for slave armies to show is not something I can afford right now.

I wouldn't keep an army there just for this. The chance of it happening on any given turn is quite low, and the absolute worst you will have to deal with is the loss of one settlement. Just ship an army back, or raise a new one when it happens.

Happened twice so far for me, I'm in 215 BC (or so). One in Sicily, easily dealt with, and another in Central Italy (Spartakos spawned! But he didn't have a stack, it was just him as the third army for the rebellions).

Are gladiator uprisings scripted, or is there some way for the player to trigger them? I wanna fight Spartacus!!!
