Submissions & Test Environment
This is something I'm doing and I encourage others to do. In order to separate your work on the mod I advise you set up two separate installations OR keep good track of any files you might mess with. One of the worst problems myself and Alex have had is each other changing things and periodically having to sync them, which thankfully hasn't been as much of a pain as it could have been. For the purposes of stability and the like it is important that bug reports and such aren't given when a patch is installed on top of some personal changes, or it could be the personal changes causing it.
If you have updates for the art side of things please send them to Alex and he will send them to me to include in the next patch after he's worked any necessary voodoo magic on them.
If you have updates for the code side of things please send them to me and I'll seek to test them and integrate them into the next patch.
Sadly we don't have the money to maintain a Subversion server so we have to try and be efficient by separating our test environment from the "stock build" and making sure to backup our files thoroughly and often.
