When I was 11(?) I watched a film. It was a vampire film and I am 99% that it was from the sixties-seventies era. Now I want to watch it again. It may seem bad to me now bu it will be vary nostalgic. I only remember bits and pieces, there are some things that are stuck in my mind.
The film starts like this: In a huge castle surrounded by fog etc there is a red dust (any vampire film fans know that that's Dracula's blood). Now a bat arrives (I can remember how it's flight seemed fake) and spills blood on the dust. There are thunders and creepy music, and Dracula's body starts shaping (first bones, then muscles, skin etc). That's all I can remember from the beginning.
Unfortunately the rest is rather vague. Some old lady is murdered in a church (by the bat?), bitten girl in the village (she was probably stabbed afterwards-can't really recall it) , a girl with her boyfriend go at the castle. The lass turns into a vampire (after her cross is removed from her neck by Dracula's servant). The village wants to stab the count, some guy sent in the castle is killed by the count. Some guy attempts to stab Dracula in his coffin but to red eyes appear over the closed eyelids and the lad runs(?). In the end while Dracula tries to kills a lady and her boyfriend (the lad mentioned before) by throwing a metal spear thing at them a thunder hits the stick and Dracula falls from his castle while his body was on fire. End.
There are more things though: Apperently Dracula had a servant whom he whipped if he made mistakes. I clearly remember that. The servant also chopped and boiled the body of the lady who had turned into a vampire. And he was really ugly.
Phew..
Anyone knows the title of the film?
Starring Christopher Lee (?)
Many similarities to the film called "Taste the blood of Dracula"
