Default Tyranid, Hive Mind, and... Trinity???

This thread is inspirted by this post:

And Christ descended into death but since God can not die, death was defeated which is why we don't need hades anymore. The bond between God and man had been broken with the actions of Adam and Eve in which they chose to disobey. And because of it death entered the world. Christ vanquished death so that this bond could exist again. "God became man so that man may become (one with) God." ~ Saint Athanasius.

It isn't about what the Quran said that moses believed. It is about the fact that the Quran claims itself along the same line of books as the old and new testament. And it is a long consistant theme throughout the old testament that anyone who died went to hades. If they were good they went to the bosom of abraham. And if they were reall good, say like Enoch, God would come down and pick them up to heaven.

I know in the Quran it says that the old and new testament were tampered with although there is no evidence or proof of this from the quran. But at one point you can't keep saying "that's tampered with" since hades is such a strong consistant theme throughout the OT.
Now, I find it interesting because I never understand what concept of Trinity is until I saw this.

Basically it means Tyranid is a biomass with a collective consciousness called Hive Mind; Hive Mind is the "brain" of this biomass and it would create individual Tyranid to suit its task. However, each individual has no own consciousness and their mind is actually Hive Mind itself.

Now, if we compare Trinity with Hive Mind, the idea is fitted pretty well; each individual Tyranid, because they are came from same biomass and would ultimately return to biomass again to be reused, we can argue that the relation between Hive Mind and individual Tyranid creature is both father and son; in the same time, all individual Tyranids have the Hive Mind's consciousness, so fit into the holy spirit concept.

In conclusion, we can say that all Tyranid is "father, son and Hive Mind" to each other.

Actually that's a lot less confusing than when I've had religious people explain it...

The only thing I am not sure is what "Holy Spirit" actually means; I assume it means the mind of God, which can be assumed like some form of "soul". Now, if "Holy Spirit" means the mind of God, then it is quite equal as Hive Mind - the mind of Tyranid.

no. in the bible, Jesus calls it "the helper". to the threads question, no, this is no good comparison. when Jesus talks of his return he says, that even he does no know the day or the hour when it is, and that only the father knows. if he was connected to the father in a hive mind, then he would know.
"WE WILL SMITE THE INVADERS FROM OUR SKIES! Though they sweep over our lands like the sands of winter, never again will we bow before them; never again endure their oppression; never again endure their tyranny. We will strike without warning and without mercy, fighting as one hand, one heart, one soul. We will shatter their dreams and haunt their nightmares, drenching our ancestors' graves with their blood. And as our last breath tears at their lungs; as we rise again from the ruins of our cities...they will know: Helghan belongs to the Helghast." -Scholar Visari

That means, Jesus is not God.

    That fails Trinity, you know.

All they really had in mind were the Xenomorphs from the Alien films, the Borg from Star Trek and ant/termites.

All now this thread starts to turn away all serious direction and evolve into another 40K thread...

Lets be serious and discuss the nature of Trinity, ok??

That's not a trinity, it's a quadrinity, if there is such a word.

In the trinity all parties share the same abilities and information with each other. Jesus can kill everyone on the face of the earth, he also knows everything that will happen in the future and everything that won't happen, he may however, not know how to interpret this information, it may come to him in the form of dreams or he may not be able to see it all at once, even though he can being god. Making his son human was the perfect decision then, for god, as his human son would not be able to use his powers incorrectly or mess up the plan. At the same time, the holy spirit is an ethereal thing, the ego and superego of god if you will. It could represent a collective human and divine consciousness.

Carpathian's analogy is also wrong. Light, warmth and the sun are not one. Light is not the sun, nor is warmth. The son is however, light and warmth. This is different from the case of the trinity, where jesus is god and the holy spirit, and the holy spirit and god are jesus.

Imagining the Trinity, to me, is rather similar to attempting to imagine a three-sided square. I don't know if it's meant to be this incomprehensible (or at least to me), but I like to think that it is simply part of the unknowable nature of God.

no its three parts of himself.Jesus is the word the bible says "in the beginning there was the word, and the word was with god and the word was god". its complicated. they are one, yet are different.

It is not just complicated, but the whole sentence is illogical even from words.

"The word was with God" and "The word was God" are completely different thing; "with God" means the word is on the side of God but not part of God, and "was God" means the word was God but not side of God.

    Ever feel that is strange??

If Jesus and God are same then how come there is a love between "father and son"??
