    Default problem

first of all; congratulations on this mod. i know you have heard it a million times but i still think you guys deserve it.

Secondly, i am having a problem with EB. Everytime i edit one of your files and save it my game encounters a CTD. I know it isn't my editing which is causing the problem because in a test i opened a file, export_desc_buildings.txt to be exact, didn't touch anything but rather saved it with the same name and suddenly i started getting a CTD whenever i tried to enter EB. I thought it must have been vista but i have my UAC turned off. It doesn't happen when i touch the same file in the RTW vanilla data folder. Its like it doesn't recognize my saved file and only works with the file which is untouched that i keep as a backup.
i therefore wonder, am i missing something? did you guys make it differently or did you guys make it impossible for other people to edit some of your files? it really seems bizarre to me.

I really like this mod and i hope you can help me find a solution because i want to implement my changes.

"we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...

    Don't use Notepad.

Use Notepad+ or another text editor.

Indeed, some of the script in the script does not save correctly when using a low end text editor.

EB's data files are so huge that Microsoft Notepad occasionally chokes on them. You can use an advanced text editor such as Microsoft Word, or a freeware one such as Notepad++. You can find a download link to Notepad++, as well as other free text editors, in this thread.
