    Default Unit stats

    Check this thread often for updates to the EDU file. I'm still working on unit stats, so all feedback is really welcome.

    Please post all our unit stat feedback here.

    There are currently no stat changes to update 5.

    For my part, I'm tweaking factions so they have 'enough' but not monstrous income. One of the reasons for this is to avoid a pile up of cash....the other is to avoid the pile up of cash warping the Campaign because factions are buying and selling each other. I changed the way the 'Rebel' faction got money, for instance, and how much they started with because they were just giving cash to everyone. The slave faction won't do that, but the two Free factions, apparently, will 'buy' their independence if you give them a bunch of money.

    The latest update is mainly in unit costs, to try and improve campaign balance, but also affects the cavalry a little in that they are slightly stronger in melee now.

    This zip file also includes an adjusted EDB files which affects regional economies and is part of our working towards a more balanced campaign.

    Download and unzip both into your /data folder
    In the main folder RTW ?
    Or right into the data.

    Good question - it'll affect the balance so ideally yees, but probably not needed.

    Yesterday I saw that the unit stats changed in my campaign so I think that no need to starta a new campaign if you copy a new EDU.


    EDIT:SOrry to write here but its about units from different factions.I saw that at most units the description says:primary armor=metal.....even at units that have linothorax or other leather armor.(for example the spartan hoplite and spartan promachoi-each has linothorax,but the description says metal)

    Yeah, you certainly shouldn't get any CTDs, it'll just affect the balance of where things might have got to.

    How's the campaign going?

    The campaign goes well,as I said in the scythia threed,there is no problem with the money.I sent a full stack to Crimea and I will start war with the free people and then I will se how powerfull they be.

    I ain't seen no threed about the Belgae or Macedon, so I taught to write it here.Yesterday I fought two custom battles...one with the belgae and one with macedon,and saw two mistakes:1)It should be "Amfipolitan phalangites" not "Amfipolitan pezoi".
    2)The Belgae general's bodyguard is a cavalry not a chariot.In the Belgae preview the bodyguard is a chariot.

    IIRC there were troubles getting the chariot to be well balanced.
