High Elven Armor

This is my 1st Post so don't hate . I love this mod and The lord of the rings . and I think the High Elven Armor is great but it is Second Age armor. I think the Noldor would have inprouved the the armor by the Third Age and would have a difrent look any thots

Just because the movies show that armour being used during the Last Alliance doesn't mean it's become canonical 2nd age armour that can't be visually present in a non-movie product representing some other age.

And things in ME didn't really improve with Ages. Actually the 1st Age seemed to have all the best things when it comes to weapons, armour and crafted items in general.

in the first age men used steamships. I am willing to bet too that a lot of the elves you see in this game are elves from the last alliance or slightly younger. It seems to me that once they settled on something they liked they would have only changed it very little.

What I don't get is how in the movies Gondorian armour improved from the Numenorean armour, which doesn't really make any sense.

P.J. wanted plate armoured Gondorians, simple. I read somewhere that Gondorians had a hard time making plate armour.

Yeah, and that plate armor was quite ...useless.

wow look at the arrow in the first picture, now in the second... isn't it strange? in the first picture the arrow is not that deep into his body and in the second, the arrow is deeper and wider and is not in the same place of the first arrow

and if u look at the lenght of the arrow in the first picture u will see that the arrow is too big to go that deep , and more. the orc shot with a short bow at a very large distance! Well... it's a movie.

Most if not all the best Elven smiths were dead or sailed west so its doubtful Elven armour would be improved upon in the third age imo. It would be believable that much second and perhaps 1st age armour was handed down through Elven families and I imagine it to be quite diverse in appearence from house to house.

i believe that gondor continued with the chainmail deal (though gamesworkshop miniatures beg to differ) as detailed in a painting in the i believe its the silmarillion or perhaps unfinished tales, either way its a painting of the kinstrife in which the rebel black numenoreans (in black tunic and chainmail) were raiding a port city (possibly pelargir before it fell to them or perhaps a painting of the event itself) and gondor clearly had chainmail under tunics, and the fountin guard and dol amroth knights were likly the only ones who had plat (much like medevail europe).

Isn't that a picture of the slaying of the Teleri by the followers of Feanor? It's in my version of the Silmarillion.

Anyways, I agree with you though I think that Dol Amroth had chain mail like Gondorian soldiers.

hmm I don't like that picture, the Teleri were supposed to be almost unarmed with light weapons, while the Noldor were very well equipped, it makes the kinslaying even worse. in the picture they're just all wearing chain mail
