    Description
    ------------------
    This submod allows you to inflict a heavy defeat to the dark army of Mordor, when you'll destroy the One Ring!
    Simply, when one of your generals find the One Ring (ancillary), bring him at the Mount Doom; your general will destroy the ring, and Mordor will lose all its settlements!

    Requirements
    ----------------------
    This submod require:
    - Third Age: Total War 1.0
    - Patch 1.1

    Installation
    -----------------
    Just copy the "mods" folder in your Medieval II Total War directory.

    for an improvement... 1.1 could you make 2-3 orc stackes appear close to all entrences to Misty Mountains..? when the player gets the ring

    If people isnt over the minimum standard of living... lower the standard..
    if there is too much poverty in a sociaty, lower the poverty line... my qoutes... comment them if you will...

    Wha... Wha.... Wha....

    Wait a minute- you mean you can actually "find" the one Ring and destroy it to send Sauron back into oblivion?
    If this really works- you just have done a great achievement, and I am prasing you for it.
    I am gonna try it ASAP

    You can also find the one ring in vanilla TATW, just stay a while in Moria with one of your generals, and he will find it (with exeption if someone has already found it), or kill a general who has it in battle.

    Great mod idea, bytheway. I'm just wondering, can you destroy the one ring with mordor general, or with any of the "bad"-factions generals?

    i guess so... but it doesnt really matter it is player reletated... since a general ever coming into the misty mountains will never ever get close to mordor ekspet if you get the ring yourself

    You should make sure that only good factions could destroy the ring. Also, since the ring is now a SUPER POWERFUL TOOL against Mordor, Mordor should get a few stacks spawned to represent Sauron's haste to conquer Gondor and the ringbearer should have increasingly adverse side effects the longer he (or she) has it

    so what do you propose? my suggestion up on 3th post? and idk -2 command, slower movement, +2 chivalry and worse things... it shouldet be able to give to another general..

    I believe it gives now +3 to dread at the moment + other things.. and it is tranferrable. My succestion is that it should give major drop to loyalty, becouse of its corrupting power (don't know if its already doing that).

    If I can remember right, in FATW-mod (RTW), the ring first gave great bonuses to the general, but the longer he obsessed it, all powers from the ring got worse, and worse.. Making its owner really corrupted thing.

    I dont know anything about scripting, or modding, (or if The Housekeeper is going to expand this mod further) and I don't know if this is possible,but.. Maybe if "bad"-faction brings the ring to the Mount Doom, they would get full rep from Sauron, maybe a big gold gift with it, and Mordor would get massive army becouse of it. Also some traits would be great from returning/destroying the one ring for the generals.

    Usually I don't get excited about submods (besides visual enchantment, it rocks!), becouse I like to wait what KK and his team has to offer for us in the future. But since they have mentioned that they are not going to implement "destroy the ring" feature in theyr mod (correct me if I'm wrong), I really like what this mod does.

    I think it is quite fair that the mordor gets destroyed with the ring. Also think about it. The ring still have to be at mountain doom. You have to pass the black gate. It is not that easy to come to mountain doom.
    Also, if u managed to come to mountain doom, that means that you have beaten mordors army for the great part. So they are left with like 60% if their original settlements. So a victory at that wat should be good.
    The only thing what u could do maybe is letting an army spawn in front of mountain doom if the ring is there. Or put a chance that an general can destory it in mountain doom, like some1 already mentioned in the game. This idea is still very good!

    I second this.
    I also vote for corruption traits and loyalty decrease for 'good' ringbearer (not for orc general or nazguls!).

    I checked out the scripting, its ... uh, well like my scripts - compared to archaons, very easy to read and also quite simple. Not that thats bad! It does what its supposed to. Kind of.

    It does however WAY overpower the good forces. and its missing some very valuable checks to balance it out for the AI, and make it a player only quest.

    But for a first beta of the script its pretty good.

    Archaon and I are working on a complex script for beta 5 or later for DAC. (We really want to 'include' Sauron though for it) which makes it both a powerful tool of evil, and a problematic yet powerful force of good.

    I ultimately have some ideas on how the script could corrupt an entire faction (and make them convert religions) but for that I would need a slighty different roster too.

    Well that sounds cool but it should oinly corrupt faction if faction leader or faction heir has it as if only a general ha it i doubt they;d listen to him i also think -10 loyalty should be the cost of the ring.

    I think it isnīt possible to realize my idea, maybe it was already mentioned in this forum:
    Could you make a special spy which can carry the ring to mount doom?? it would be more realistic than a general which make a trip to mordor... The succes of the mission depends on the experience of the spy, like in spying in cities... I guess its very hard to script something like this.

    not impossible, but... it would definitely be harder to script. Not that much harder, but a little bit.

    Thing is, I forsee massive issues in how this wouldn't totally be an almost "win" feature for the good factions. All Sauron would have is a small chance of capturing/killing you as you tried to spy, or his assassins which wouldn't be paying much attentiont to a spy they can't find.
