    Default re-instalation problems

When i put the disc inside it comes to the normal medieval 2 toal war setup which gives you the choices to play, unistall, etc. However, i unistalled the game a long time ago and now i come back it doesn't give me the option to install rather it gives me the option to unistall but the option to play is blank. So i press uninstall and then it goes to the installing setup and later says this:

The setup has detected a version 1.02.001 of Medieval 2 Total War is already installed.

This setup installs an earlier version of Medieval 2:total war (1.00.0000)

You will have to uninstall the previous version before installing this version
But i haven't the game installed. All data in C: Program Files/ Sega/ Medieval 2 Total War were deleted. There is nothing there anymore. So what do i do to install medieval 2 Total War again???

    I uninstalled M2TW a month ago.

Also, if there is any correlation, i can't unistall RTW. i press uninstall but nothing happens. i press play RTW but nothing happens. This happened after i tried to unistall but the process ended with 99% and it never finished so i canceled. Later i tried again and got the thing above. So i deleted everything left in the RTW file. However, it still has the same problem and i want to re-install RTW.

Both of these happened on the same day

"we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...

Run a registry cleaner like ccleaner. The uninstaller that CA uses doesn't remove them, hence the error message.
