    Default Searching for RomeTW.exe

I installed RTR PE, and I do have the correct updates, and am using RTW Gold. When I click on either the RTR Platinum icon or the RTR Platinum BI icons from my desktop, a message pops up saying "Windows is searching for rometw.exe. Click browse to find it yourself". If I let it find it itself, it says it can't not find it, and starts up regular RTW vanilla. If I click browse, I can not find anything to start it.

    Any help??

    Hi, welcome to the forum

Make sure you've installed the mod in the correct folder

What mod do you exactly use? RTR Platinum or RTR Platinum: -mod switch?

Normally the Gold versions of RTW install in a The Creative Assembly folder. The default path of the RTRPE installer is an Activision folder(as was true for older versions of the game). Make sure you have directed the install to the correct location. Usually that`s the cause of this problem.

I have the same problem,(though it was platnium) though when I install it, it cannot find the correct finder and says I do not have it? I have BI 1.6 and I would love to try RTR but there is so much hassle. I've tried over 6 times; same results. Help please?

It could also be a windows 7 issue.
If you install from disks and accept all defaults, windows 7 has a habit of putting part of the game in one folder and the remaining part in the (x86) folder

Make sure UAC is off before installing
