Uninstalling Old Mod/ Reinstalling RTR...

Hi everybody, I just wanted to see if anyone has a suggestion regarding the following problem:

1) I Installed RTW Gold and then installed Roma Surrectum over that. RS is not compatible with any other mod so I deleted all the RS files and RTW files on my computer today hoping to reinstall Vanilla afterwards.

2) When I tried to install RTW Gold again, it says that an "earlier version of RTW was detected on your computer, please uninstall this before installing RTW Gold".

3) My problem is that I can't see anything else to uninstall! I've removed everything... I'd like to play RTR again but can't if I can't install RTW...

what do you mean, like deleted them or uninstalled them?

Deleted! I couldn't uninstall because there was no option to do that for some reason. I've just reinstalled the old version of Rome I had and that works, but I don't understand why my new copy can't install if there were no traces of the old copy left...

Hi,

I've had this problem as well,it's due a partial set of files left behind...which are not visable. To sort this out go to this page and down load the removal tool. Once it's done its thang you'll be able to re-install etc. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
