    Hm, so you're saying, that you don't get the error messages for the battle-triggers of Narya, Nenya, Vilya and the One Ring with the latest release?
    Then it's definitely related to me having patched kingdoms only to 1.03. Have to patch it to 1.05 after work and have to have a look

    Hm, so you're saying, that you don't get the error messages for the battle-triggers of Narya, Nenya, Vilya and the One Ring with the latest release?
    Then it's definitely related to me having patched kingdoms only to 1.03. Have to patch it to 1.05 after work and have to have a look
    Aikanár: You will get error messages for all the battle-triggers, but the triggers will work fine. The errors are only a problem if they stop the ‘export_descr_ancillaries’ file from working and I see no evidence of that.

    I see, well I don't mind those messages, as long as the trigger works as intended

    • Cirdan as a general
    • reworked ancillarie pictures
    • some other stuff

    I have a question about these events like Historians and Generals and so on, do they actually do something? Give or take something? Or are they there just for the depth, because i get those after every second turn or so.

    Also i attacked OOTMM town Grim or something on the Northern edge of Misty Mountains and i triggered Balrog event for some reason, as High Elves. Not sure if this is bug or something.

    At the moment the guild events are flavour content. Their ingame benefits, such as ancillaries and traits will be included in the next release.
    The Lindon, Mirkwood and Durin's realm events grant ancillaries and money.

    I've not changed the Balrog event in any kind.
    Maybe it's the same i've just have...
    I attack Long Daer an Isengard town, and i triggered Balrog Event... Thought it was a bug, but when i make Toggle fow, i see that Sylvains attack Moria during their last turn... Maybe to see the event, you have to siege a town yourself...
    And no more problems with the event of guilds, but if i understand well, for the moment, it's only for fun, no effect in the game?

    @ TNZ - have you tested the triggers? When using the Triggers you have coded I get a strange error. Any general fighting a battle that would involve the enemy general being killed will result in the Player recieving all ofthe GeneralWithAncKilled Triggers Aquirements in the eda, regardless of whether the enemy has the ancillary or not.

    For example, after winning any battle and having killed the enemy general, my general will recieve both Narya and the One Ring even if the enemy does not posses either of these. It does not happen with the other rings as they are already given to a character in the game.

    I tried making some GeneralWithAncKilled battle triggers for a couple ancs, however as before I end up aquiring all of the similar triggers aquirements.

    I have tested this with many variations. I just think that the GeneralWithAncKilled does not work as intended or at all. I will continue testing although I believe I have tried everything possible.

    @glassakias:
    By the first glance it looks like the traits and the anc are not declared in your export_descr_character_traits.txt and the export_descr_ancillaries.
    I suggest to check those files again, the section where traits and ancs are declared and compare them again.

    all of them "cannot be found" . of course there are gaps between lines, they just cannot be copied. i put the one before the ME Lore section manually(sr for long code)

    Is this happened to someone else?
    Each time i make a battle against a Gob or Isengard General with the Trait Uruk/Snaga and the other one, the game crash... but against others generals no problems, i can have access to the battle map...

    The first part of the edct and the eda are the secions where traits and ancs are declared. The trigger section is the second section in these files.
    Just open the lore edct or eda and search for "Aikanár" then you'll be taken to the section where traits or ancs (depending on the file) are declared.
    You've to make sure that both sections are present in your file and, of course, if the corresponding entries are present in the export_ancillaries and the export_vnvs.txt

    OMG! how can i have been that stupid. of course! being a complete idiot, i just copied the triggers section. so much for realising i am a complete noob after all . i copied the first parts and everything works. the scripts seem fine (at the start of a new campaign i got the historians guild message yeaaah). a million thanks aikanar (and a million +rep as well). you can't imagine how eagerly i had been awaiting this. one ring with me lore is just perfect. if anyone wants the merged scripts, just tell me and i will post(i am allowed to post them, aren't i?)




    Edit: wait until i spread some reputation around. @everyone: if you receive some unexpected +rep, that will propably be my trying to spread rep around xD
    Edit 2: oh no. unspecified error and ctd the turn after the one ring is found :*( . i'm dome trying to make them compatible. i'll create a new mod folder for me lore. cheers

    One question to the players (I do not like to add a poll to the FP )
    What would you prefer:
    1. High-elves speaking quenya
    2. Silvans speaking sindarin
    3. Both speaking sindarin
    4. High-elves speaking both, sindarin and quenya
    5. High-elves speaking sindarin, quenya and english
    6. High-elves speaking quenya and english
    7. Silvans speaking sindarin and english

    The most lore accurate choice would be both speaking sindarin.
    Please remember, even lore mod can only be very close to lore till turn 1, after that, only lore accurate input can be provided.
    Please make your choice in a post and, if you which to, explain why you prefer the choice made by you.

    The qustion is not the possibility of translation or pronounciation, both will be done quite fine, trust me

    This. Even though Quenya was mostly a ceremonial language by the Third Age era and not really used in everyday speech even by the few remaining Noldor it'd still be nice to hear some and it'd add a bit variety and strengthen the high/silvan distinction.

    edit: Oh yeah, make them call out Elbereth's name when they charge, perhaps?

    Yep, that's basically what I think on this matter as well and I see the need for some voices, to remain english or, interchanging with the Quenya and Sindarin.
