Why did/does the Irish government allow Clergy control over most of the primary schools, and many of the secondary schools, though the State pays the entire cost of operating those schools.
The Irish have a republic yet the seem not to have learned from the French Revolution and their ideals of not letting the Clergy in on anything.
Don't get me wrong, i like Irish people but their downside is that they are religious as hell and in the process of that they really undermine their own potential of being enlightened people.
I know the things i say may be a bit too much for many people but please post here in a gentlemanly manner.
