    Default SKins

    Hi there is it possible to run this mod with the RTRPE Roman skins instead of the current ones? I run Rome on a laptop and though the skins for the Romans are nice I find them far more laggy than the ones in RTRPE. any help will be appreciated.

    Well I found an old thread about them still being in the dmb however I do not know what I would have to edit.

    Quinn probably knows, but hasn't been around in a while. Try the main RTR board, or the Workshop...

    It's possible and fairly straight forward but requires a bit of work. All one needs to do is to swop the skins and no doubt models back in from RTRPE. And if the original units are still in the appropriate models_unit file it will be even easier. You'll require a tutorial on adding new units. But to get you started If you rename the RTRPE skins and models to be the same as the ones you want to replace in ExR and simple copy and paste them in over the ExR ones you should be ready for action. All files will need to go in the data/models_unit folder and date/model_unit/textures file. Alternatively you can edit them in in the descr_model_battle (dmb) file i.e change the existing file names to the ones you want to use. Thats probable as clear as mud but if you read the tutorial it will all start to make sence...
