Online games 'Not compatible'

Whenever I wish to play a few games online on Rome: Total War, the list of available matches appears as normal, however, the details appear in red text, accompanied by a message: 'Not compatible'. A friend told me it may have something to do with patches.
Well, I have downloaded patch 1.1, 1.3, 1.5 but when I downloaded 1.6, it said the zipped folder was corrupt or invalid. I would be grateful if someone could give me a solution to this problem or send me a link to a valid 1.6 download.

1.6 is for Barbarian Invasion. Do you have Barbarian Invasion installed?

1.6 is a generic .exe file that even Windows recognizes. How did you buy them-seperately, Gold, online?

I don't really know... I bought the Rome: Total War Anthology and installed the main game and both expansions. For a short time I was able to play online but then one day I tried to play and it said 'Not compatible' so I downloaded the 1.1 - 1.5 but it still didn't work.
