Default A SS historical campaign map mod?

Now we all love Stainless Steel, but as I have heard before, the borders of the provinces... leave a little to be desired. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me to compile a list of historically accurate borders and cities, either to create a small submod, or to present to the developers for consideration in the next version of the mod. A few examples of what I'm talking about would be:

Placing more frontiers on rivers, for example the Byzantine Empire stretching up to the Danube.

An end to the vast African provinces stretching all the way down to the Sahara.

More "fluid" borders, instead of those on the original campaign map which seem to often be drawn in almost straight lines, especially in France and the HRE.

    Cheers.

I'm always interested in historical accuracy but unfortunately I have no time to contribute.

    General idea is OK.

However, we are at the limit of the number of regions. Any changes would have to be moving boundaries, and all the maps would need to be redrawn, resources etc replotted.

Also one would need to specify exactly what date you are using for the baseline map, boundaries, people move over time, empires rise and collapse.

Finally you'll need to state what sources you are using for any revisions, so we can weed out any based on personal preferences, nationalist agenda etc.

You can forget the last option straight away, I'm English, and think Britain has quite enough provinces as it is. I'd cut one out of Ireland straight away, and maybe one from England too.

For sources I think I would mostly use the 1100 map from Euratlas, making changes where appropriate for a 1080 starting date (eg Turks and rebels controlling all of Anatolia, no Crusader States)

And resource changing and general checking is what I mostly need support on, so if anyone would like to help with that, it would be much appreciated.

When we created the BtR submod we thaught to expand the byzantine borders in more accurate position (almost all balkans)...
Despite the fact we "corrected" the size and shape of the empire in both campaigns we did not want to "destroy' the whole ballance of the game...
Having the Roman empire at the size it real has a mod must re balance the whole game and offer some features that can "hold" that superpower under control!
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

Resource checking..... a hell of a job, I could give some info on northern and central europe, as I have done a cursed job trying to sort that out. Didn't find as much as I hoped, but enough for a less specific map then my own. If you wanna know you're right in the netherlands, germany, czech republic, scandinavia, baltics, poland, unto russia, I'm willing to help. But I've plenty to do on my map, so I won't join your mod.

New here, but willing to give a hand compiling more accurate maps, starting with Castilla, Aragón and Portugal, which are completely wrong. No idea of modding, though.
