Can't Capture Cities

When I play BC,after i manage to capture a settlement,the general always get stuck and the hourglass cursor appears.Does anyone have this problem,and if so,how do you fix it?

same. Have been trying to take Acre for dozens of turns to no avail due to freeze.

Same problem. Playing as Georgia when capturing the last city of cypchaks ( in the west-north corner of the map), Then an event folder comes down, stops somewhere in the middle of the screen, stays there for 2 or 3 minutes and then comes down. And hourglass cursor turning and turning...Music is still playimg though
Thats made me so sad(((( Hours and hours of playing for Georgia wasted(((

Problem solved))))) You just have to wait. It took about 5 -6 minutes for hourglass to stop turning and turn was done)))

When you take the last settlement, Sometimes the faction becomes a Horde. Which in all means, It will lag your computer for no end for 5mins + , just be patient, then you'll be scared when it's done, due to the fact you will see 2-5 full stacks of the enemy in 1 clump!
