Christian Opinions on the Gnostic Gospels
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnostic_Gospels
Such as:
These are ancient texts, written before the establishment of the Catholic church. Which I have always thought of as corruptors of the Holy Bible. At least ever since I find out that they picked and chose certian texts that believed in what sounded good to them.
These lost books of the Bible could be the key to unlocking the true secrets of Christianity. The questions we have always wanted to know. The one the Catholic church wanted hidden and destroyed.
What do you all think of these lost gospels?

Re: Christian Opinions on the Gnostic Gospels
Dangerous, interesting, very dangerous. Very very dangerous. I am myself a gnostic, getting more and more detached and skeptical with every bit of knowledge I accumulate. Ultimately, there's only God and the example of Jesus if you are a Christian: they are a difficult enough task for a man without countless archetypes, myths, etc.
Of course, these writings open up interesting insights. But they have other uses, which are not religious.

Re: Christian Opinions on the Gnostic Gospels
They are a good read. Judas is wrong. Judas hanged himself befoer writing book. Thomas says kingdom of heaven is in you. You are your own kingdom heaven. Which is wrong in a sence. Kingdom of heaven is not in us it's with God. Though God is in all of us he reigns in heaven not in us. If you get where i'm coming at and going to.
