MULTIPLE CHOICE POLL
Pretty obvious. What do you think?
Yes! Too liberal. (ABC, NBC, etc.)
Yes! Too conservative. (Fox)
No. The media is well-balanced.
Biased? No, they're just plain ignorant!
I think they're being bought off...

They're privately owned, so yeah.
Rupert Murdoch told his biographer if fear sold less than love, he'd sell love in his media.

Yes.
And beyond individual companies too.
Basically, considering all the information you get from all the news sources, is one side better represented than the other?

Once a political decision has been reached to proceed with internal disturbances in Syria, CIA is prepared, and SIS (MI6) will attempt to mount minor sabotage and coup de main [sic] incidents within Syria, working through contacts with individuals. Incidents should not be concentrated in Damascus. [A] necessary degree of fear, [...] frontier incidents and [staged] border clashes [will] provide a pretext for intervention. The CIA and SIS should use [...] capabilities in both psychological and action fields to augment tension. [Funding should be provided for a] Free Syria Committee [and arms should be supplied to] political factions with paramilitary or other actionist capabilities.

PBS represents the "real America" in my opinion.
MSNBC is used to counter-weight FOX and the two are basically political pawns, the mouths of their respective parties. Historically though the Republicans have been better at courting media and making outrage an institutional quality. Republicans will say different and say its Democratic media pawns who are better, but it's really a pot/kettle thing and I'm talking by history they have more adept handling of propaganda and demagogy.
I'm talking publicly funded with oversight in the pursuit of truth-value. Not government media, which is just as bad if not worse.

Yes all media is.
How can I believe in God when just last week I got my tongue caught in the roller of an electric typewriter?

Agreed. If the media was state-run, then it would just be a bunch of bobbleheads repeating whatever the President says.I'm talking publicly funded with oversight in the pursuit of truth-value. Not government media, which is just as bad if not worse.

Since its inception, the press everywhere has been a tool of political parties, ideologies, private individuals and the government alike to brainwash the masses, so yes. It is, and everywhere.
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."
- Flavius Vegetius Renatus (in Epitoma Rei Militari, ca. 390)
They're all bias, and it is only natural. It always has been, always will be...and State run Media is NOT the answer. Even if the news network is trying not to be bias, the anchors (sp?) will be.
I usually flip between FOX and CNN (I stay the hell away from MSNBC) and usually say "ok the right answer is smack dab in the middle of what they're saying".
CNN picks down to Earth conservative correspondents who aren't that concerned with party lines but usually just say "ok this is what Obama should do if he wants to get this passed", but then you have guys like Roland Martin who just love Obama to death and anyone who talks bad about him is a blasphemer (also his damn speech the night Obama won was, to me, pathetic in the utmost sense...he just went on and on with his prepared speech about race, even though no one really cared about Obamas race that much in my opinion).
On the flip side you have FOX, who has some sensible anchors but you also have those that anytime Obama does something good or someone says something good about him, they spew out crap and rant and rave. Then you have O'reilly (sp?), who is just funny to watch because you can tell hes almost like a half Stephen Colbert where he knows what he is saying is rediculous but people actually believe it 100 %.
My favorite news though is still the 6 O'clock news on major networks that lasts a half an hour, they usually just say the important stuff and you don't have to listen to 50 people give their opinion and start arguing via laggy satellite TV's.
Forget the Cod this man needs a Sturgeon!
Name a media that is unbiased.
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't see that it was a multiple choice poll.

Media is money biased. They are in the business of giving people what they want. And in the last 20 years, they have realized that people aren't really interested in being informed, they just want to be told why they are already "right". Fox News saw a large untapped market of people who believe the media, government, schools, etc. are out to get them so they created a channel to pander to these beliefs. MSNBC pinpointed the market segment on the other side and then shaped their programming to bring them the stories that make them feel "right". This isn't new. The US media was just as polarized 100 years ago. (though some of those poles have shifted)

Are you kidding? All the mainstream media (except for FOX) works overtime kissing Obama's butt. Of course there's a liberal bias.
Make America great again!
OK -- the media is biased.
