Siege Bug with a Fort.. Full Stack Disappears!
This was at least a week or so ago, but when I tried to post when it happened, the site was down.
Playing as Rome, I was defending against a Thracian invasion of Northern Italy... Just to the East of the town where Venice would be, at the entrance to Italy where the Mountains come down near the Adriatic.
I built a Fort there, and put a full stack army inside, with a couple of Thracian stacks threatening.
I hit End Turn, and then Thrace attacked my fort ... ... And ... ... There was no battle, the Thracian army took the fort, and my full stack disappeared into thin air!
No message that my army was bribed (pretty impossible anyway with the big star general and full stack inside)... Nothing. Just a fort full of Thracians and a full stack gone.
Of course I reloaded to my End Turn save, and I had no choice but to sally out and fight to break the siege... Before that I tried a couple other tricks to see if the outcome would change, but no go.
Since then I've just put a small unit in the fort to block the path to Italy, and defended against the Thracians with my army in the field..
So, is there any known Fort bug like this in XGM or Vanilla Rome?? Any Ideas?

Forts can be starved out just like cities - how long was it under siege? After four turns (IIRC) your army will be automatically defeated.

Forts only last 3 turns, so the AI won't often assault them if the garrison is big...
