    Default Hey - important question here.

    Hi, would just like to say your mod inspired me to play this game again - nice one.

    Anyway how do you remove the background to the main menu? - the one in red with constantly moving pictures which genuinely makes me feel nauseous.. What's the file I have to delete in the Total War directory?

    RTR does not have a red background... however to change this go to [As you didn't indicate what version of RTR you are playing I'm presuming you are playing the non mod-switch version]
    data/menu/textures/backdrop.tga
    do not delete this file as it will cause a CTD crash!

    If you need to know more please just ask! my reply is rather vague...

    I am unsure how to remove the animations (changing the image should do it though) To change the image just go to the directory I already stated
    data/menu/textures/backdrop.tga
    There are some regulations however in changing these images... most importantly is that the image size must be correct. If i was you I would look around the forum for backdrops (backgrounds).

    That didn't work nor was that the file I was trying to remove or replace. I did some searching of my own and found the file in Data>Menu, its called Dump0000 and its an mpeg file - removed it and voilą my problem was solved. Anyway thanks for the help.

    can someone please help me with rtr 6 gold i downloded the games fine into the directory but when i play the game the options for campaign or custom are black and blocked i cant click on theme what did i do wrong i already have patch 1.2 what can i do

    please help really want to play this mod
