CAMERA VIEW ON BATTLE FIELD

Anyone know how if its even possible to change the view on the battle field (like in RTW) at ground level and close up ??????

Sadly, no. You can look very close to the ground, but not all the way. A shame.

Well, I don't know if this is waht you mean, but you can also set the game to "Minimal HUD" , under UI options (or something like that).
IF you do that you can check the unit card "slide" box which causes the bar where all your units are depicted to only show up when you put your mouse neer the bottom of the screen, this way you can zoom in as far as in R: TW....more or less.
