A "What if" Total War

Hey all,

Had an idea for a mod where the SPQR did not take supreme reign of Italia, but rather the Samnites, or the Etruscans, or some other faction of the peninsula did.

If this had happened, the world might have been very different.

This mod would start your faction controlling Italy. All roman traces on the other factions would need to be replaced, as trade with Rome all but ceased, and was replaced by another faction's trade goods.

Don't you think that is a better idea that Carthage should have defeated Romans and became what was Rome once !

*cough* I hardly think that Carthage would have even attempted to conquer the amount of territory the Romans did.

I think Marcus Orentius is still working on it, he is just not active on the forums anymore.

Barbarians with Phalanx and real heavy armour, Greeks using swords and Romans... being... uhm... well... Roman.
