Default CTD is this when i should use the Work Around.. OR something else?

my trouble is with the ctd that people seem to get while in battles.. this ctd can occure in a land, sea or even campaign screne. I just purchased a new comp, and do not think that the problem is memory, but i will give my specs and let you guys tell me. I have done the work around on an older system and it sort of worked..but i diddnt want to have to do it on a new on...thanks for help.Intel® Core 2 Quad 3.0GHZsystem bus:1333MHZCache Memory: 4MB on die Level 2RAM: 8GB DDR2Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT120 graphicsVideo Mem: 1GBOS: Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit with SP1

Give us some information - what game are your referring to and what 'work around' are you referring to?
