Well, there 's two things that can come out of this:
-You can't ever be too clever to believe in conspiracy theories. It can happen to anyone, even a MENSA member.
-We all must be on the lookout for conspiracy theories and the hatred they spout. THIS is where they can lead to. One doesn't have to be a MENSA member to figure that out.

Latest news is the security guard that was shot died.
There were 2,000 people in the museum at the time of the shooting, and there is few exits, with most of the people on the second and higher floor. If it wasn't for the guards it would have been a bloodbath.

I'd be inclined to argue that the likelihood of the white supremacist being armed here is close to nil due to the lack of guns here. When was the last time we had a shooting like this?

It's not tax dollars, it's privately run and funded.
And it's not "just" a museum, the museum part is actually fairly secondary to the research and studies. Plus maintaining a huge archive used in both.
