To be clear...NINJA = Nine Inch Nails/Jane's Addiction

Did anyone else here go?

I went to the Columbia, Maryland show last night...it was pretty good. I didn't get to see the opening bands (i.e. Tom Morello's band) but we got there just as NIN took the stage. I wasn't too impressed with the setup and stuff but hey, Trent did give us a fair warning that this tour wasn't going to be that effect heavy given that they just wrapped up their previous Lights in the Sky tour a few months ago.

The setlist was pretty solid too but they did leave out a few staples (like Closer) which sort of sucked...

Overall I'd say it was a solid show...too bad they couldn't go out with a bigger bang though - when I saw them back in 2005 during the With Teeth tour that was just amazing and this show in MD didn't even compare.

We didn't stay for all of Jane's Addiction, maybe half of it...I'm not much of a fan of them so whatever...I sort of like Mountain Song and Been Caught Stealin' but everything else is just sorta..."eh". They're style also really sort of bothered me...you got like the gothic viking guitarist, the...neutral drummer, the bassist who looks like he should be more comfortable in Third Eye Blind, and then Mr. Ferrell himself...who (at least at this show) just looked like something between a male Olympic ice skater and a 80s punk rocker...with an attitude of a flamin' homosexual (with I have nothing against mind you). It just doesn't look or real right to me.

In short, good show...NIN could've been better (effects wise - music was amazing as always), crowd could've been better, etc....sad to see Trent go and get married and leave his dark brooding music making side behind but best of luck to him.
