rohan get owned every time

I have never played a campaign where rohan do well. they get butt-raped by isengard every time, and once mordor join in its game over.

Anything i can do, as on of the northern factions who cant actually help them in the fighting, to make them more powerful? can i give them money or something?

this game is what would happen if the rings never existed so yes rohan would get its ass kicked. remember helm's deep they won because of the fellowship right because gandolf came back

Playing as the high elves - I've had to save Rohan too. I've been paying them money every turn, and won back their land from Isengard and then given it back to them. Slowly but surely they are becoming powerful

Help them to survive! I made it a houserule to save Rohan - it's funny and you can get 1000 to 2000 per turn tribute from Rohan by reconquering and giving back their lost settlements.

EDIT: Do not give them money - they have it. You must help military!

In my campaign as Gondor, they do survive, they do get help from both Eriador and the High Elves

Most effective way seems to be trigger battles for them and have them fight on the map instead of autoresolve. I've sent few Gondor militia and parked them right next to Edoras while it was main target for invasions, autoresolve causes Rohan heavy casualties while most of the orc army survives defeat. But if I use my militia to trigger a battle and then let Rohan fight they end up smashing orcs which once routed are massacred by cavalry masses with few casualties.

Yes, but wont ents be recruitable only in Fangorn? Isengard takes Fangorn usually at the start. Unless Rohan will get help, they wont be able to get Fangorn.

if they travel to Fangorn and get mercenaries then it'd be fine but would the AI be clever enough for this.

I've edited my EDU to make good more powerful (evil got some upgrades too) and now Rohan can hold its own against Isenguard.

Ents are a required faction in my opinion.

I just quit my Gondor game... after around 150 turns or so... because Rohan got owned again...
So I end up trying to play Rohan, and found out that they seem to be the hardest among all the good factions. Hard to expand, low income, big target, weak troops. Rohan is a challenge.
