They are of Equal Importance (I am both British and Christian)

Hey, i've just been wondering lately, on how different people around the world see their nationality and their religion when defining themselves. What comes first for you, Your nationality, or your Faith?
ex, are you British first? or are you christian first?

I put my personality (which judge everything) in front of anything; it is a type of faith, but not religion.
Hence I find it is fine to against my religion and my country if it does not fit my own personal rule; overall, nothing is perfect in the world.

I don't know... But I guess it is really because my background... It is really hard to let a guy who move three countries in his first 20 years to have nationality... And my interest of history also directly let me discover that today's religion is, at best, some form of rule that is not flexible enough for a guy who move around very different environment frequently... Hence all I left is my personality, which roughly based on several features of different cultures...

Really? I put idealogies before nationality. In fact, I put my province before my nationality...because when you think about it, people in the rest of the country aren't the ones I walk by in the street every day and have done since birth. If I moved somewhere else then I'd value that place provided I liked it enough.Have you ever heard the term, IDKFA?

That's awfully patriotic of you. I cannot imagine dying for something such as a country...it's just too distant. I generally work *outwards* from myself, family etc in degress of distance determining how much I value a particular institution. This does however mean my country would come before someone elses.

Im not british or christian, But i put my Nationality far, far before my faith, In fact even my place of residence comes well before my faith does.

Let me give you an example as to why.
There are times when EVERYTHING can be taken away from you for whatever reason. (Most of the time is for evil.) The image that springs in my mind as I type this is of a wagon heading to Auschwitz full of Jews. Those people had lost everything and were about to lose their lives. Yet, they would stand still leaning on each other for strength and would pray. The only thing they had left was their Faith in God. I believe that it was their prayers (and all the others of those faithful) which led to the world we live in, a better world for their sacrifice and once we manage to contain our suicidal urges as a people (global warming is the worst right now) we will rise into heights unimagined. But that's just me, an eternal optimist.

My Nationality. Although I am neither British or Christian.
However living in the USA I am a firm believer in the power of Man. We, the People elect our leaders, not some deity. We, the People support the right to worship whatever you wish (to an extent, human sacrifices are not really permitted.)
No deity stands before the Bill of Rights or the Constitution. And that is the way it needs to be. That is the only way it must be. And that is the only way to remain free from the oppressive nature of religions when given too much power.

Elect a leader and ask him/her to rule the country for you is a very irresponsible thing, just point that out.

Interestingly enough, among many other public events, a regular session of the Congress ("Power of Man") opens with the following Pledge of Allegiance:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all."
Also, some state Constitutions are not shy about referencing God. Take a look here.

British isn't really a nation, its a union of three and a third of a nation.
The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

Very limited and narrow view of "nation", there. These days, it's not restricted to merely ethnic lines. It's a broader concept than that.

You are arbitrarily limiting the scope of the term "nation", then.
It is not merely indicative of ethnic ties. In these days, it is much broader than that.
Not even close. England, Scotland, Wales, and NI are not constituent states of a federal union. They are integral parts of a unitary state.
