Default Use Kingdoms video's for another mod's factions

    Masar el kheer

I have been playing DLV for a while, and I see some of the factions don't have any intro-movies, only the byzantine-intro, for their own factions:
    Group 1:
    Irland
    Norway
    Teutonic order
    Lithuania
    Kingdoms of Jerusalem
    Aztec

    Group 2:
Flemish (coast-line between france and denmark)
    Georgia
    Mongol
    Kiev
Desert Tribe (South of Moors and east of Jerusalem)
    Armenia

    1.)
How can I use the Kingdoms campaign videos for the DLV-factions in Group 1. What fiiles need to be modified/moved?

2.) Any one got any tips for the Group2, factions?

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

You would need to copy the .bik files in the fmv folder from the Kingdoms Expansions, to your mod. Then add the info needed to the descr_faction_movies.xml in the imperial_campaign folder.

Ok, I had several questions.... but then I thought, fvck it! Im running the show baby I dived into it(even though Idk about moding...

= yes, it all worked like a charm
    .

..... The only problem, is that I can't install all 4 campaignsfor some stupid reasonI have them all, but not the Teutonic campaign Bink videos, and descr_faction_movies.xml . So I can't get all the cool videos for

    • Denmark
    • Teutonic order
    • Lithuania
    • Novgorood
    • Poland, etc
    • ....might also get the mongol(?)in the intro. I never played that campaign)

I will give Russia Vanilla Intro, to Kiev.
Desert tribes & Armenia now got the Crusader Intro. They are offcourse not in, but it gives it a ME-feeling atleast.

Georgia & Flemish are the one that I can not cover. Tips are welcome.

What do you exactly mean by .bik files? Is that the compressed video-files?

Can I just "link" them in there instead, b/c they take up 800mb.

This is what I have done:

Added all the videos I used, from the Kingdoms mods, to a new folder inside the my mod (DLV_ext).
    ...\mods\DLV_ext\data\fmv\faction
    ---------------------------------------

I also edited the descr_faction_movies (XML-document), not the other file, descr_faction_movies(XML~-file)

    ...\mods\DLV_ext\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\descr_faction_movies.xml
