Demolish the teuton chapter house and hope for a templar one?
sorry i mean templar
Those units have a longer 'Spawn' rate if you click on their grayed out unit card in the recruitment window... It will tell you how many turns you have to wait for the next 'Templar' to spawn![]()
And the region must be 80% catholic.
there is 80% catholic but there is no gray picture
I met the same pbm, I wonder if their is another building prereq when you have templars in a city, had no pbm to recruit them in a castle.
Ten times more numerous, by night and backstabbing.
Senior member of the G.L.I.N..
it doesn't work in town and castle
Ahhh... I belive you might have activated this at the start? Don't worry, it will get fixed in 6.2
1.89... NEW! Recruitment Limitation System (Yes/NO)Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

I have got another question about guilds: can you have more then 1 guild in a city? like a thieves guild and templar in 1 city?
No.
How ever, if you catch a City with any of the Order Guilds in it, then you should not destroy it:
1.
You loose relationship with all guilds.
2.
Don't destroy another Order guild, even if you allready have another one and you cant recruite from it. Because you will get excellent retuine from it for your general. This also apply if you play as Orthodox/muslim and capture a Order building.
How-ever, if you want to learn more from the Holy Guild Bible:
A.)
Then you can look up Strategy Guid for New Plaers, in my sig.
B.)
Go to chapter 7, Strategos & Magistratus.
C.)
The go the Magistratus tips.
D.)
Check out the Guild Bible there.

what guild are the best to have?
I prefer Merchant's guild for my capitol... I'm willing to wait a long time to get it...(Build all your merchants in your capitol and it will happen sooner0. Thieves guild or explorers guild for MY second city... It pretty much rules to have great assassins or admirals.
Templars or St Johns... is a far distant fourth..... It's so easy to get... just pump out three militia spearmmen.
I always go with Merchant for the trading cities, a theology one for my religious center (A city focused on maxing out the religion buildings) and some explorer and thieves guilds in the minor cities.
For castles I get Templar / Hospitaller for those with mines (= weapon upgrade building) and the weaponsmith for castle's without them.
I try to have 1 of each, before I end my campaign:
Explorer guild, because I can plant my general in there. Then soon after, he will get 15% +travel distance. It's a good standard guild too, with the extra income. Prefere port region.
I also have Thiefs-/Assassin-/Hashshashins guilds, because it's like having a medieval CIA/Mossad operating at my disposel. I only need 1 of each, prefered close to the coast, for quick travel. HQ guild is not requierd for my taste, so can be build anywhere. Remember that assassin guild is a must for Hungary and the muslim-factions(to get your own Delta Force/Navy seals)
Templar/Hospitaler(teutonic, Santiago) is like Tomato/temato. I don't really care for my citizens, so i normally choose templar. Its a good guild for borders, where you are not going to expand/guard.
Example: You play as France. While you fight on the east front, against Flemish, Denmark, HRE, Milan, Venice. This means you can't support a second army in your backyard, against Spain. To counter the spanish-threat; 1.) I make sure no crusade hit moors. 2.) Take out Aragon and Navarre, and give it to the pope. Demand alliance and military access. 3.) Make sure Toulouse have an order guild. 4.) Install every fort in the regions(papal regions too), with 2 templar units, 1 peasant & 1 ballista.
Merchant guild is a standard guild, nothing special. My merchats do get a good 4 + finance points in HQ guild. They also get the cavalry, but that one suck, unless you are muslim faction. (Arab Cavalry (Moor, Eg), Sipahis (Tu), Cavalry Militia (Caths and Orthos).
Im however was really let back by the Theology guild. I need it as much as I need scientology now = useless. If there were more "storm" in Levant/Emeral isle/Scandinavia/Balkan/Iberia, then things would be very diffrent. Mostly for RPG-feeling.
I have never come to use Alchemists Guild that much either. Not much experience with it to be honest.
Woodsmens guild can be fun to get more units, but mostly for show. It is also very hard(see--> the guid bible).
Horse guild is a standard guild for castles. Not needed for nations like; Scotland, Denmark, HRE, Armenia, 4 Italien factions, Aztec, England.

I agree with you about Theology guilds but then again when I play I really don't care for the pope and usually try to befriend ex-communicated factions... Try it, it works.... They need all the friends they can get![]()
I play DLV Europa
1. If i look at the diplomatic place the Georgian flag looks the same as the Norwegian one if it stands at a place like at war or alliance.
How can i change it?
2. How is it possible that Wales was eliminated in my campaign when they weren't at war with anyone.
The lands of Wales just changed into rebel lands.
3. How can i crown my king or something like that?

1. I don't know how.
2. Wales must have suffered a terrible and unfortunate death of all its family members.
3. Your king must have one free ancillary slot to be crowned. Every general can have a max of eight, some of them are transferable to other generals. If your king does not have a free ancillary slot, he will not be crowned, leading your kingdom to a possible civil war. Move another general or governor to the capital and give him one of your king's ancillaries. Next turn you will get the crown of your kingdom.
4. No idea.
