    I'm pretty sure that's is the problem. My computer is old too, and when I test BoA v1, I have sometimes crash sometime during the game.

    this new add-on campaign works well! sometimes it CTD but i reload and it don't CTD again! good job !!!! ^^!

    I know, but BoA use models with a lot of vertices, more than any actual released mod. The only exception is RS II, though...

    As you can see this is the Kihei to Naginata cavalry for Shingen Takeda. This model, Nobunaga Oda's model and one of the Shimazu leaders models have been the battles that I have entered. Now there is one thing in common about these. Funnily enough they all use horses. I just went into battle with a lone archer unit and there was no cavalry on my team and just Shingen on his. I was ecstatic till I looked closer at Shingen's model and the game crashed. I loaded it up again and it still crashed.

    Your using MTW_Horses I know that much. Why does my system not like these horses is what I want to know. Now that I have identified a much more probable cause is there a chance for some quick fix for me which allows me to use normal mounts or something?

    I have a feeling that we're so close to solving this issue.

    What is the total poly count of both them models? They would be the highest surely as theyre two units within one.

    That is weird....i only have a pentium 4 3 ghz with 3 gig ram
    And my settings are on huge and except for buidings and grass everything is on high,and have almost no lag.

    But i have also probs with horses,and i really hope someone could fix that....the imagawa bodyguard unit....there horses turn white when i zoom out.

    @Lord Dakier...No....my prob is a sprite thing...a very annoying prob though...its like i'm on lsd.
    They just turn white when i zoom out.And some other cav...they have these banners on there back....zoomed out they(banners) dissapear....when i knew how to fix it,i did it myself.It can't be that much work.
    What are your pc spec's L Dakier?And what kind of graphic card do you have....with Ati you know...there drivers are fukked.
    I have HD 4650 1000mb virtual mem,every mod works fine...but with EB...it worked smoother with my old 1600 pro ati card
    The prob with EB is driver related....especially with high polygon units.Maybe a driver change will help you.

    I've been playing for several days, and looking through the text files. I think I understand what the issue is. While the campaign sub-mod is really fun and beautiful to look at, the problem is game balance. Please understand that these are not criticisms. They're just some things that I found that make the game more playable. I know enough to be dangerous with code modification. I understand how to make some changes, and I've done some in my own version of the mod.

    Here are the main two issues that I have found. You've eliminated the effects of religion to calm down a province. There aren't many temples to create other than the Buddhist one's. The Japanese of the period had both Buddhist and Shinto temples. Realize to that there were rival factions of Buddhists, so that could create disorder too, or that warrior monks could create terrible issues for daimyo in their area. The daimyo would rob from their treasuries or land, and formant dissension. The monks would retaliate as a result.

    You should alter the code to add more happiness and law to the buildings too. What I did was sincerely look at the effects of squalor and distance from the capital. Much of that is hard-coded, so I merely significantly added the following lines in the export_desc_buildings.txt file. Note the highlights. You can easily do this with walls, large farms, etc. Putting the academy back in would help. Etc.

    I like to know.
    When i downloaded the 3 things to download from the first post..
    Did i get it all.

    Or do i need to download more. to add all the work that have been done ?

    I tryed the game. with the 3 downloads..
    But had to edit the export_descr_buildings.txt the one in the boa map subfolder data

    I just add`ed +5 happyness to roads the bigger roads.
    And also +5 happyness for stone walls.
    I also add`ed +5 +10 +15 law.. to the bigger barracks
    Now its posible to have a huge city. with like 30.000 people in it..
    without it rebel. when all the things that add law and hayyness is build.
    If i have 2 units in the city..
    Just have to take care witch general that go there

    I saw in other post that one dit like +5 +15 +17.. let me just say this.. +5 = 1 +10 = 2 ect.. so forget about +17...

    I add`ed the hapness to the stone wall. becourse people will be more happy , when they fell safe.
    And to the road ,good trade make money , witch again make people happy.
    I expect great new things in this mod

    hey I downloaded the mod, and then I applied the add on and the quick fix (copy pasted into the data folder and then nothing happened to change te game I can still only do custom battles and the campaign is still a dot and when I click on it it's still the roman families and if I try that it CTD's help? and also the addon doesnt come as a data folder it's just all the individual files, is it supposed to be like that?

    The trick is to now use winzip and use winrar instead which solved my problem, thanks, excellent mod and peace out
