Default Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans-John Lennon

I just realized that this lyric/quote is pretty damn well applying to my life. And it is a sad thing actually. Our life is about having goals...no goals, no point. Am I wrong?
Whenver the plans for future looks bright I'm in good mood, when there are no plans it's an emptiness....and when things seem bad my general mood is sad. While these make up the core of the emotions I live my daily life in which I feel happy and sad from time to time. Which explains the mid-life crisis and the emptiness old people are in.

One should always have goals, or make goals as it loads meaning to one's life. Right now for this month there is nıthing for me excpt the pain for the girl I love(this means in my future plans this girl is not included which causes sadness) and the prom at the end of this month. So, I regularly work out and try to make my future brighter...then a new plan came up, a handball tournument in July in Spain which completely changed my mood.

I think John Lennon said it pretty well....what do you think?
"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

I've always thought that this quote meant that life is supposed to be free and spontaneous. When one is following the restricted, structured path of a previous plan, one isn't alive, one is a drone.
