Lousy looking rain

First, I must say that it is good to have weather system in the game - but it would be better to have a weather system in the game that would REALLY look good.

Granted, I think snowing looks just fine, but in my view the rain textures could use more work.

I am no modder and hence I have absolutely no knowledge about this - but I would assume it is possible to tweak the rain textures - is it not?
