    Default Deleting Unused vanilla units

    Hi, I have a question.

I have deleted a number of units from vanilla in order to make way for new units I have created for the imperial campaign (including: Late Bodyguards, orignal versions of azabs and teutonic knights, dismounted lithuanian cav and dis mongol archers, as well as all the "kings", saxon and norman units.)

Now, I have made sure these units were not included on the desc strat, desc mercs, or describe buildings files. Obiously, running the tutorial is out of question, but I am afraid that in the imperial campaign the game may, say, try to generate them as rebels or something and then crash mid campaign.

Is this a possible danger, or am I in the clear? Are there any other files I need to check to make sure I don't get a crash?

    Thanks in advance.

Provided there is no event, mercenary or building liable to ask to generate them, you should be OK. Most conflicts on units are checked on startup or on starting a campaign, and any such should be clear in the log.

I doubt you will have a problem.

There's also descr_rebel_factions.txt and descr_sm_factions.txt. The first of these details the units belonging to each rebel faction and looks like this:

    rebel_type Mexican_Rebels
    category peasant_revolt
    chance 3
    description Mexican_Rebels
    unit Aztec Peasants
    unit Aztec Spearmen
    unit Aztec Archers
    unit Aztec Spear Throwers
    unit Aztec Warriors
    unit Aztec Warriors
    unit Jaguar Warriors
    unit Aztec Peasants
    unit Aztec Spearmen
    unit Aztec Archers
    unit Aztec Spear Throwers
    unit Aztec Warriors
    unit Aztec Warriors
    unit Jaguar Warriors

Obviously make sure that the units you've deleted from the EDU aren't given here. Likewise double check that the units aren't listed as a horde_unit under the factions in descr_sm_factions.txt.
