    Default Unspecified error after patch

    Hi, I recently reinstalled Medieval II: Total War and played without any problems. But I decided to install the 1.2 patch from filefront. When I opened the launcher it said there was a syntax error on line 8 and asked if I wanted to debug. Then when I pressed play it would show the loading screen then it would show pop-up that said 'Medieval2:Total War has encountered an unspecified error and must now exit.'
    I'm not running any mods or the Kingdoms add-on.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Could be a bad install of 1.2. Try to uninstall the game and reinstall the game and the patch.

    Thanks for the help that fixed the game. I'm still getting the debug message though, but that's not a big deal.
