Default A fond return to IB, but first...

...I've not played IB for some time, as for a painfully long time my Rome disc was trashed. However, recently I've got a new copy, and since upgrading to play Empire (which turned out to be a colossal waste of money), I've realised that Rome now runs maxed out on huge unit sizes, so... Seeing as how IB was the only mod I can think of that had realistically sized armies when played on huge, here I am again! However, it's been a while, so is there anything new I should be looking out for? new mods, patches ect?

Thanks, Rio. I'll give it a go. Already downloaded Ruina Romae again, and I've started an ERE campaign, and wondering why on earth I left this mod in the first place... It's just so awesome!

FYI the new version is in busy development and will be far, far better than the actual.

I actually had the same experience. I upgraded my PC for Empire, played it for a few days and then shelved it and came back here. I wonder how many more will do that.

Playing this on max settings with the resolution on full looks amazing. In my opinion this is a much better mod platform than MTW2. I dont much care about the inter unit variations as no mod except IB2 has really made the most of them anyway. In any case units soon get mixed up in melee and the effect is just the same.
