Paintshop Pro 8 Question

Is anyone here successfully using PSP8 to edit DDS files?

I've managed to get as far as extracting as DDS into a folder for editing (euro_foot_artilley_britain_diffuse.dds) but nothing I do seems to persuade PSP8 that its a valid file format.

The http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html plug-in recommended by Wiz doesn't seem to help, although several other fora seem to think it should worl with PSP too.

Anyone actually managed it and if so can you link the plug-ins etc you used?

I use Photoshop 7 mate!, and it is really easy to use!! go get this version and download the DDS plugin for it works fine.
Oh!, you may have already done this but make sure you have all the latest updates for this version of Photoshop 8?, as mine updates on a weekly basis!!
