The banners are gone...

I just discovered that the banners no longer appear during a battle. Now that i think about it, i believe it started after installing the Third Age Total War mod (great mod by the way). I tried adjusting the preferences.cfg but all it contained was this:

widescreen=0
[game]
allusers=1

Realizing that there was something messed up about my preferences.cfg, i downloaded one from filefront. This had no effect whatsoever even though show_banners=1 was part of the new doc. Apparently, changing the preferences.cfg has no effect on my in game video options (i tried changing anti-aliasing to 4x in game but it still said antialiasing=0 on my preferences.cfg). I was wondering if someone else has the same problem.

Find the Third Age .cfg. It's the one you have to modify. Any problems, contact them for location and line.
